How to Express Colostrum
- Prepare: Wash your hands thoroughly.
- Stimulate: Gently massage your breast to stimulate colostrum flow.
- Express: Use hand expression to collect drops of colostrum.
- Collect: Place the tip at the nipple and release pressure to draw colostrum inside.
- Seal & Store: Once collected, cap the collector securely and label it with the date and time. Store in the refrigerator or freezer as recommended by your healthcare provider.
